I found my home in Santorini

I love Santorini! It's a great place to chill out, watch amazing sunsets, get a tan and get in shape. After one night in a hotel too far away from the town, I went hotel shopping and found an amazing hotel right on the cliff of the caldera in Firastephani called Agnadema Apartments. My palce is a palace compared to the other places I've stayed, so I decided this was a good place to plant myself for 10 days (why not, right?).

I've toured the beaches (Mykonos' beaches are much better), walked from Fira to Oia (2hrs of hills along the cliff), and each night watched the sunset, rating which one is the best (still can't decide). Read Kite Runner in a day and a half and have now found time to get all my updates going on this site (I promise to be consistent moving forward).

I met two girls from Seattle that are staying in the hotel next to me and are also on a long journey and decided to plant roots in Santorini for 10 days. We've enjoyed spending the days at our individual pools, then meeting up for dinner and Shandi cooked one night too. Also met two sisters that from Austraila that I may meet up with in Athens. I can't wait for Val to meet me in Italy so I can travel with my sister too! The best views are right off my balcony.

Sounds like you are having a great trip. Santorini is a wonderful place. I am sure you have found the bar on the beach in Perissa. I seem to remember it was open from 11am to 9am (they close for two hours to clean). Have a great time and thanks for posting your journal. Tony
