Today I went to Pompeii. Not my cheapest day ever (2.80 to get there, 2.80 to get back plus 11 euros to get in). However, it was well worth every penny. I went with a couple of kiwis who were staying in the hostel as well and who I met this morning.

In pompeii the petrified bodies in the positions that they died in were really interesting. Also the theatre was extremely interesting. My feet were sore by the end of the day though. I finished off my first memory card today, whilst in pompeii, so I´ve had to change memory cards. If I keep on taking photos at this rate I will probably have to buy another memory card.

Anyway we spent about 5 hours wondering around the site and I feel that I´ve seen most of what it has to offer. When we got back to the hostel they went straight back out to go for a wonder around the city (which I´d done yesterday). I didn´t go with them. Instead I got chatting to a scot who now lives in London who, along with a mexican-american and a peruvian living in America, I went out for a pizza with. Pizza was first made in Napoli, so the pizzas here are excellent. It cost 4.30 for a massive margherita with spicy salami. And I mean massive. I struggled to eat it all. Anyway we then came back to the hostel, had a nice night drinking and watching a film.

Tomorrow I got to Sorrento by train for 3 nights.

It was lovely talking to you last night and hearing you sound so positive and happy. Naples was obviously a big hit. Moving in very international circles - great!!
