Salvador is the capital of Bahia State and it was once the capital of Brazil.
Salvador is a typical brazilian city with lots of african and indigenous influence. It was fantastic to be in such a place. Despite being a crowded city with more than 3.5 million people, its beaches are still clean and beautiful. It has more than 50km of beach.

We visited the historic center and surroundings. Pelourinho, Mercado Modelo, Elevador Lacerda, Farol da Barra, many churches and the fantastic "Convento do Carmo" that it is now a 5 star hotel in the center of Pelourinho.

We stayed in 2 different hotels. Bahiamar and Catussaba.

I loved the people from there. They are very friendly and the violence still under control.
