Hi everyone,

I have finally reached my last months of travels! Cant believe I am 2 months down. So far I have been to 16 countries in this time!! Feels like I have been away for years, but at the same time it has flown!

This week has been a mixed bag. I have had some average days plus some amazing time. I cant really complain up till now I havent really had any dramas, and what I have encountered this week is pretty minor compared to what I could have experienced.

So this week started with me leaving France on the 30 April. Ill start by saying the one down thing about staying in hostels is that you dont really get much sleep until everyone in the dorm is in bed. So on this particular night the last two people to turn the lights out was at 2am. I then had to be up at 5.30am to catch my train from Nice to Paris. I was told at reception the trams would be running in the morning to take me from the hostel to the train station. Unfortuantely the part they left out was that the trams only run every half our at that time in the morning. So I get to the tram stop and its not coming for another 20 mins. I decide to walk to the train station with my backpack. It only took 20 mins but trust me thats enough when you are carrying around 30kgs on your back!

I get to the train station and the 4 and a half hour trip to Paris is peaceful. I was flying from Paris to Malaga in Spain. I flew with a company called Ryan Air which was the cheapest flight. The problem with Ryan Air is that they fly from really obscure locations. I knew that I needed to get a train and then a bus to that airport. The only problem was I didnt know which train I was meant to ask. I went to the information desk and asked the operator in French if he spoke english. He said he didnt so I was going to leave and find someone who did. As i started to walk away he said "what do you want" in clear english! I asked how did I get to the airport. He was really rude and told me to get a certain train. I brought my ticket and went down to wait at the platform. I had a feeling that this train was the wrong one, so i left the platform and went and asked someone different. Luckily I did because I was the wrong train line, and she told me which train I did need to catch, I really didnt care that the guy was rude, but if he didnt know which train I should take he just had to say.

So I took the train (which took half an hour) and then went and found where the bus went from. I hadnt eaten anything all morning, as when I left Nice nothing was open, and when I got to Pairs all I wanted to do was leave!! I found where the bus went from, which was this random stop in the middle of know where! I brought my ticket and was then informed the next bus wouldnt be leaving for another hour and half. I really couldnt be bothered carrying my bag back to the train station to get something to eat so I sat there and waited for the bus. The bus

then took another hour and half to finally arrive at the airport. I then had to wait an hour before I could check my bag in. It was 6pm before I was able to sit down and have something to eat.

The flight was uneventful, I was able to sleep the majority of the way. I arrived at Malaga at 10.30pm and had just missed the last train to Torremolinos. So I took a taxi (only cost 20 Euros and took me straight to the resort door). Mel (the girl whom Im staying with) had already checked us in so I was able to go straight up to the room. When I went to unpack my bag, I realised my Shampoo exploded all through my bag!! I then spent the next 2 hours washing all my clothes in the bathroom. Finally got to bed at 1am.

So yeah Im putting that day down as average!

The other average day I had this week was yesterday when reception calls to inform us that we havent paid for the week. We booked through a website where you gave them your credit card info and they are meant to pay

the resort. The money had been taken out of my account last week, and as we had been staying in the resort for 5 nights we didnt even know there was a problem. To cut a long story short, I spent most of yesterday on the phone to the internet company who kept telling my there wasnt a problem there end. I was then speaking with the reception (who were really rude) and they kept telling me its not thier issue they just want the money. after many conversations and 20 pounds of my phone credit we had no choice but to pay the resort again. They did say if it got sorted they would refund us this money, but they wanted payment now or we would have to leave. So we paid the money and hoped that by the time we leave on saturday we would have it back. Less than 3 hours later reception called to say it was all sorted and they would give us a refund. They didnt offer an apology or anything just simply handed the money back. I had no issue with the fact that there was obviously an issue between the internet company and the resort, I did have an issue with how the resort treated us while this got sorted.

Anyway that is all behind us now!

Now for more happier stories!

The little bit of Spain which I have seen is amazing. We did have 2 days of rain when we first arrived. Those days were spent exploring the little town of Torremolinos and taking a train into Malaga for the day. Spain's weather is extreme. You can get soaked through within a minute if it decides to rain. Today this sea mist completely covered the whole town in 5 mins but was completely gone with out a trace in 15 mins. Very bizzare to watch.

Malaga wasnt much. It was very industrialised and not very pretty. Im glad we are not staying there. Torremolinos is fantastic. Our resort is situated on a hill right next to the main shopping area. You can walk through these small allyways down to the beach, only takes 15 mins to walk down, but there is also a lift which you can take! We have done both! It is lovely to walk down, but in 30 degree heat its not so

Setting up for the Grand Prix
nice walking up! We did go for a walk last night to watch the sunset on the beach which was beautiful.

The resort is fantastic. We paid the one price (450 pounds together for the 7 nights) which includes the room, all food -including snacks - and drinks -including alcohol and not just beer and wine but vodka and cocktails! So basically the whole time we are here we dont have to pay for a thing. All meals are buffets all you can eat, and they have been really nice. There has been a mixture of local dishes as well as more UK dishes. There is mostly people staying here from England and Ireland. I think Mel and I are the only people using sunsceen everyone else is using coconut oil, and I think I am the only person who wears a hat!! Saying that I have picked up a nice little tan, with about 7 different strap marks across my back!! Our days have been spent sitting by the pool, walking down to the beach and sitting down there and then coming back up to sit and drink cocktails on our balcony which overlooks the pool!

Because I hear you are having some cold weather at home, Ill upload some photos of the sunny weather over here!

I have one more day to relax, before I head on to a new place. On saturday Im heading to Granada for 2 nights and then onto Madrid for another 2 nights. Im not sure what is in Granada but everyone I have met have said I must go there.

Well thats all the news from me! Ill upload photos now. Hope you enjoy 😊

HI again
Hi Bec WOW, WOW the WOWs are for the lovely place and photos that you have sent, they are lovely and you look lovely and relaxed after all your troubles. I think that I need the name so that I can go and stay there when we go in two years time. The only problem I think you will have when you get back is that you will need to check into AA, because of all the cocktails you are having on the balcony over looking the lovely view. lol keep on blogging it's great.
