OK. My last day in Vienna and I did next to nothing. It was coooold today, and I mean cold. Really biting wind. I left the hostel at half 10ish, but left my bag in a locker here. Makes my life easier 😊 I then went straight to the Naschmarkt, a big market selling all sorts of food but also gifts. I bought a tub of olives for 1.90 for 250g and a large piece of flatbread for 1 euro. Made for a very nice lunch when I got back to the hostel and heated up the bread. Before returning to the hostel I decided to have a look and see what the Vienna Natural history museum. I arrived where it is to find that it was closed and there seemed to be no explanation of why. I then went for a bit of a wonder around the museums quarter before returning to the hostel to eat the biggest lunch that I´ve had in a long time. (I also stopped off at a supermarket and bought a packet of Salami Milano for a couple of Euros and used that to fill my bread.)

In about an hours I will leave the hostel for the last time to go and catch the coach to Munich. My next blog will be coming from the beer drinking capital of Europe (at least in terms of beer halls).

hi love - sounds as if you've got the self-catering thing cracked. You'll save loads of money & it's probably quite good fun going into local shops to see what you fancy. Make sure you buy some fresh fruit or veg too. Dad said you hadn't done any book swaps yet - I thought you'd have been desperate for new reads but maybe you haven't got through your books as fast as you expected. It was good that you could use the hostel even though you'd checked out. Hope the bus journey's not too tedious and that you manage to get some sleep. Having something with you for breakfast's a good idea. Do you know where to head for when you get off? Any ideas for what to do in Munich (other than drink beer of course). Dad went past Clinton's today - they're still advertising for temp Sat job and temp 10 flexible hours job. We opened an envelope from them yesterday (hope you don't mind - thought it might be something that needed a response). It was the P60 end of tax year form, the P45

It was the P60 end of tax year form, the P45 (which I think they would have to give you as you'd officially left) and a payslip thing for £400+ Any luck with finding a hostel in Rome yet? At least you've got some time while you're in Black Forest and Naples so not desperate yet. Nice that auntie Tracey & Russell Simpson have picked up on your travels from facebook. lots of love - look forward to reading about Munich xx
