This lovely weekend I spent wandering about the city some more and visiting Yeilu Geo Park. After doing a bit of research on how to get to the Yeilu Geo Park I decided to start my journey at Taipei Main Station. I was a bit difficult to find the bus station but once I did It was easy to buy a ticket headed for Yeilu. 96NT and 1 1/2 hour ride later I was dropped off at the nearest bus station from the park. I was lucky enough to see someone else headed to the park so I cheated a bit and followed him until I got my bearings. I arrived on a cloudy day around 2:00 PM. There were quite a bit more tourists than I had expected walking about, but none the less I managed to find my own path in the Chaos. The rocks were cool, the ocean was awesome, and I even managed to find a few creepy crawlies in the cracks of the rocks as well as a magical bridge.

After walking around for a few hours it was time for me to head back to Taipei. This being the first time I've gone this far on a bus on my own I was a little nervous that I wouldn't know where to pick the bus up at, but the Information booth at the entrance of the park was quite helpful, they gave me a little map and everything. Turns out it was just directly on the other side of the street as the bus that I came in on. 1 important piece of information being it was bus # 1815.

When I got back to Taipei I was beginning to get hungry. I remembered a silly ad I saw on the map for a restaurant called Modern Toilet near Shilin Night Market. I managed to talk my friend LuLu into going with me to this silly place where if you haven't figured it out yet, you sort of eat your food out of mini toilets..eek! Needless to say the experience and the food were both yummy.

The next night, I attempted to find Snake Alley, and instead I got a bit lost after getting off at the Longshan Temple stop and I ended up in the Huaix Street Night Market (which I think used to be Snake Alley or is still? No Snake spottings for me) This little gem has to be my favorite market so far. It's simple and local but the coolest part was the little arcade games. They had these tiny little pinball machines everywhere and the game where you toss darts at water balloons, it was a lot of fun I even won a silly little carnival prize!
