Aislinn has earned quite the reputation around here. The other families are calling her the "little angel." She has earned this reputation because she lives up to her name. Kaixin means "open heart" or "happy" in Mandarin. She seems to always be easy going and content. She sleeps any time we walk around or get on a bus. She will nap twice during the day and go right to sleep at night, and sleep through the entire night. When she is actually awake, she is smiley and giggly.

I like to point this out to the other families mostly because they do not see her when she is fussy. Much like her father, she gets fussy when she gets hungry. Of course, for her fussy means that she goes "hunnnh, eyyyyy" and then stops. She only fusses for a few minutes then gets distracted by a sheet of paper or plastic cup. She is perfectly happy sitting on Daddy's lap or riding in her stroller.

Just this afternoon I was changing her poopy diaper and was prompted to ask the other families if their children's poop smelled of mint. I think I already know the answer: "shuuuuut uuuuuup!"

We visited the Us Consulate office today. Aislinn fell asleep on the bus. I got the opportunity to take the oath and finish the application for her Visa. The final step is to checking at the immigration office in Chicago and get her passport stamped. At that point she will be a US citizen. That is a simplification, but you get the point. Of course, Aislinn fell asleep again on the way back to the hotel and slept through four people eating lunch and many kids play in our hotel room. Such the Little Angel.
