First Entry

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog! First entry coming from the exotic location of Melbourne Domestic Airport.

Before I begin my blog I want to firstly apologise for the lack of grammar, punctuation, spelling and captial letters which may be missing in my entries! Its not that I am going to be doing this deliberately its just that most entries will come via my ipod which is slightly difficult to use.

As you can see I have left the safety of Hobart and have arrived in Melbourne. I have been in Melbourne for 2 hours now, and still have 2 hours before I can even check into the international section of the airport. From there I will have to wait another 4 and a bit hours before I catch my plane. Bonus is the first 2 hours have gone really quickly with the help of a couple of vodkas!

If my plane isnt delayed (which Im really hoping it isnt) I leave melbourne at 3.35am. From there I will be flying to Kuala Lumpur for a taxi and then onto Dubai for my first stop. I only have an hour and half before I then board my next flight which will take my directly to Heathrow. All going to plan i will arrive at Heathrow at 6.15pm (London time) tomorrow night (Think that makes it 5.30am Thursday morning AEST).

Once I have arrived at Heathrow my next mission is to catch the Tube from there to Holborn, which apparently is on the Piccadilly line and is the stop after Covent Garden. So according to the Manopoly board I think Im near the yellow houses??? My Uncle will then be picking me up from Holborn (I hope) and taking me to his house in West Hampstead. And that will be my first offical stop.

My first couple of days will just be spent at my Uncles house so I probably wont be posting from there. Once I have gotten over my jetlag and ventured outside I will update my blog with a new entry.

ps. Please send me emails and messages from home. I still want to know what is happening back there. This includes the low down on Home & Away and neighbours, plus can someone keep me up to date on whats happening in the football (AFL). That will be muchly appreciated 😊

The tedium of getting there
You leave on a Monday afternoon and you get there on Thursday morning without the romance of a ship's bow and jetlagged. We should have (insect free) teleportation by now and be able to beam over. Via satellite/s?
