(BARB)Not much going on today...we took our dirty laundry down the street and it cost us $4 to have them wash, dry and fold them..of course the drying was on a clothesline in the sun..so there are closepin marks on the clothes...LOL...that's ok..just so funny...
Went for a short ride and ended up on another beach much like the other ones...
We saw a housing project going up and I wanted Skip to stop and pretend like we were interested in buying to see the inside of the house and the price..but he didn't go for it.
Down below us is a panadería which is a bakery and a kind of a place to get quick food like pizza or an empenada (fried dough w/ chicken or cheese or beef inside). Anyway we went down there and ordered a quesohamburgeresdo which I figured to be a cheeseburger...it was...kinda....almost...but it was pretty good anyway...different....hard to explain. Anyway..a bunch of kids were down there and when they heard Skip speak English...this boy about 10 put his hand out to Skip to shake it...so cool and they all gathered around us asking where we were from. Skip tried to tell them we were from VT and NY...and it was not registering so he said close to Canada and showed them an inch between thumb and forefinger to indicate close...they went nuts...Canada..you from Canada...I said oh no...NY and VT....and then they wanted to know if we lived in Chitre...this older man was laughing and he jumped in and told us what they were asking....so we said oh no...just vacation...they got that...and then when we sat down they all came over and sat with us...wanting to know if we had a baby...LOL...finally they had to leave and they said good bye...once again kids practicing their English on us...so darn cool!
No pictures today...a down day...getting ready to push on tomorrow to THE PURPLE HOUSE in David, Panama...go ahead..look it up on google...it looks like a pretty cool place!
