Hello all,

We are back in the Vermont, safe and sound. We flew into New York City on May 6. Within a few days, Ari started an abbreviated school schedule (only Spanish class and Jazz Band) and working on a nearby farm. Paul stayed in New Jersey for ten days to assist his mother who is recovering from surgery.

It is good to be back home but we also miss the people and places we came to know during our travels. In a word, our trip to Chile and Argentina was wonderful. Thanks to all for your interest and support. We look forward to visiting with each of you to share stories. Please find below some aditional pictures from our trip.

Ciao for now,
Ari and Paul

Sculptures of mythological characters: a small person who chops wood in the forest who is born to an unwed mother, right, and of a witch who is beautiful during the day and at night turns ugly and flies the sky, left. Jenia and her daughter Kenny lean on a sculpture. They took us to see penguins.

These three islands are breeding grounds for Humboldt and Magellenic penguins. We arrived just after the autumnal migration, but saw four Humboldt stragglers.

Home again, home again...
Great to see the pictures and know that you are back in the homeland. One question, how did Ari pick up the local custom of wearing shoes so quickly??

Welcome back, guys! It's great having Ari back at the Two Rvers farm every morning helping us grow and deliver food for the Foodbank, schools and Seniors. That's full circle! -Martin K., Montpelier
