I ate some starnge things tonight. So proud of my self!
Well..... we finally arrived after 14 hours by plane. I used to think that a two hour flight was long. There wasn't much to do on the plane I think we watched 4 movies and read a little, took some IQ tests and walked around as much as I could.

When we arrived we were feeling pretty tired but decided to push on and meet our friends for dinner. I had peeking duck for the first time. Not too bad , but I prefer white meat any day! We just happened to be here on the tail end of the Chinese New Year. Tonight is the night they set off fireworks in celebration of the new year. It was absolutly crazy! The fireworks lined the sidewalks and were exploding on every street corner. It's so hard to explain what I was like. We felt as though we were in a war zone, just explosions everywhere echoing off every building.

We finally went to bed after being up for 30 hours, I don't think I have every been so tired in my life.........

Stay tuned for Day 2 The Great wall and more...

WOW !!
Kasey. Chad just sent me the blog and I was so excited to see and read how you are doing. Chinese New Year - can you believe it. I noticed the chef wears a mouth covering - that seemed strange. Good luck with the food, you are a real adventurer.
