Hola amigos
My first flight overnight from Van is complete and mom and I are reunited at the airport! We are sittin in the family friendly zone with a pair of friendly tigers awaiting our 8 hour flight to Lima. Apparently mom overpacked and had to check her bag but I'm set with my loaned backpack from Catherine (thanks!) and room to spare for anything I want to bring back. We've reviewed our itinerary and cross referenced it and the Frommers travel book along with my notes from friends' recommendations. Ceviche being the main food must I keep hearing about and Pisco sours to drink!
We will try and give updates along the way and add photos too. It will be tough for me to be without full iPhone use due to roaming but I've got my apps set up for the long flight. Thanks for all the well wishes!
