I boarded my plane headed to Rome on Sunday, a tad hungover from the late night celebration of my dad's birthday. Luckily, we consumed enough Christmas Ale to last me until at least next Christmas. Flying alone was a little nerve racking but it actually went quiet smooth and slept most of the flight. I was though, seated next to an older couple wearing the touristy passport holder.
After landing I was greeted by API, which has actually been very helpful and has been hooking us up very well. I soon was driven to the hotel, where I met my future roommates. All of them are very different but we seem to have a bond and are very much on the same page on how we intend to spend our time in Rome. The first night how was eventful to say the least. We stayed up to watch the national championship game, which started at 240 in the morning, which led to a drunk dial to my mother at 5 in the morning. We have stuck to the American bars thus far and even were playing beer pong in one. And sadly yes, I did lose my first international match of pong. Sleeping has taken a back seat thus far but have been constantly exploring and attempting to speak a language that is a lot harder than I thought.
I originally thought I would be in the dorms and as some of you know dorms and I do not get along to well. Actually, I am living with 5 other guys in a apartment in the shadows of the Vatican. The place is amazing and has two balconies and one connects all three bedrooms over looking the street. I could never of imagined a better place. I will be uploading pictures to here and my facebook as soon as my internet stops acting up. I am really glad I made the decision to come here and is really turning out to be one of the best decisions I may of have ever made. I am going through some withdrawls of my iphone, chipotle and Christmas Ale but having been replacing it with excellent pizza, really cheap wine and a lot walking around. I start orientation of John Cabot University and will be trying to get some much needed shut eye. I will be in touch and I just want to thank my parents for allowing me to do something so extravagant. For now,
