Onward to McGrath State Beach, Oxnard CA -Day 3

We made it. The third day we drove from Kingman AZ to Oxnard. We got the beach at about 2 pm. The motorhome ran great the whole trip. We had sunshine and mild temperatures the whole trip.

The park had been closed due to flooding, but we were able to go directly to our site. There were still areas that are flooded. If there is another large rain storm we may have to evacuate to a day use park in downtown Ventura.

Gas is about $3.40 per gallon. We saw one gas station in the desert for $3.70 per gallon. We filled the motorhome tank for $208. I guess gas prices are predicted to only go up.

Today, Sunday we drove to have Christmas with our Granddaughters in North Hollywood.

We haven't met the head ranger yet, but we cannot do any work until we get our fingerprint check next week.

Why Fingerprint?
Why do they have to fingerprint you? Didn't they do that last year when down in San Diego? I thought that was a state park also.

Down pouring heavily
It is down pouring all over the World so planning a trip is really not enjoying. From delay in flight to other obstacles so better to keep away.

Travel
Glad to hear you made it ok to the beach. Joyce is having back surgery next Monday. Was supposed to have it last week but she started running fever, sore throat, etc... so had to postpone. She's on meds now and should be ok in a few days. Take care and keep the blog coming.
