Here were are, in Hanoi. We had a long, long flight to Ho Chi Minh City yesterday and managed to find our hotel by midnight. After a good, relaxing sleep we were ready to explore noisy, busy streets of HCMC. Quite a place. The traffic is incredible! In the afternoon we were in the Airplane again. This time a two hour flight to Hanoi. It was a domestic flight but it was done with a Jumbo Jet! Surprise, surprise. Now we just finished our dinnerin North Vietnam. Again the traffic is unbelievable! Those motorbikes (I should say mopeds) are everywhere, indoors and outdoors. We are so ready to find a more quiet place. Well, tomorrow we will be working on it. More to come :-)

what's happening at home
Hi there - last night I was at Dale's retirement party. Lots of people there from CLS/CLBC as well as Prov office and many of his family members. You would have enjoyed yoruself, as there were many people there you have worked with. Liz Kyfiak, e.g. and Sarah B of course. It was great to see many of my old co-workers from the region. I was thinking of you (and the traffic 'rules' in Vietnam) today as I was out driving. That extra shoulder check before turning right; the extra sweep across the full intersection before proceeding when the light turned green.... I was very 'aware' of doing that after learning about traffic in Vietnamese cities. Please post more of your obervations about the culture, people, traffic, food, etc. (What ARE you eating?!?) Make sure you get pics of you eating deep-fried bugs.
