we are leaving Jan. 5th at about 6:30am..so we need to be at the airport at 4:30..for those of our friends who know us WELL this is NOT EARLY for us..ha ha ha. Its a looooong flying day for us as we head to san francisco then hong kong and finally ho chi minh city in the south. we have a flight booked the next day to take us NORTH to Ha Noi. we want to go north..a good starting point for our adventures by motorbike. so once we arrive in hanoi our first task will be to buy to motorcycles, helmets, and whatever other gear. and get our maps and plans in order to head out on the road!

I am glad that you have set up this blog. We just watched a movie tonight about two naive American girls who get busted for carrying dope in Thailand (it was planted.) Don't do that! Seriously, see if you can figure out how to upload photos so we can see a few while you are on the trip. Be safe and have fun!!!
