Heya every one, just got in from our first night in the big apple and feeling shattered as we've been awake for 24 hours as we couldnt sleep on the plane due a screaming baby in front of us but other than that the flight was brilliant and could not have gone smoother! No custom line like usual at JFK- we we're in a small terminal and had our customs sorted and luggage within 20 minutes and were in Manhatten within an hour of our landing! We settled in to our room at the hostel which is run by a synagogue in a very strange area - actually very nice and clean and we have a great computer, fridge and microwave in the room! Walked a very long way from the hostel downtown to Mid town and had a really good look around and went into the park for an early evening stroll- but we've probably walked 8 miles today now!! Pictures up tonight hopefully! It's feeling very strange to be here together and was especially surreal when we were sat in times square! New york is also at the quitest i've ever seen it and was 17 degrees so i boiled in my coat!
Going to the empire state observatory, national history museum, grond zero, south sea street port and an evening river cruise tommorow so more from me tommorow 😊

Thanks for reading 😊
Hannah
