QUITE WEEKEND

This weekend we were stuffed and it just seemed to fly the weather was kind to us, it has
Not turned really cold yet. Not so cold that you need hats and gloves or even your jacket sometimes.

Saturday night was Pizza night from David’s cousins Pizzeria and then let’s read our books. It’s amazing when David gets sucked into a book how now we are suddenly allowed to read. He got sick of looking at the front page of under a Tuscan sun and went to A TUSCAN CHILD HOOD, a lady had sent the book to him in Australia and told him to read it because it was all about an English child who grew up in Aulla in the 30’s. Mario one of David’s Uncles remembers the family they owned the Castle of Aulla.

SUNDAY it was time to do the mountain trip to visit Mateo, David’s cousin who with his partner run a bar up in the mountains. Gramozzla is the town and if I never have to drive up there again I will be happy but I know I will. It’s one of those drives for me, like flying if I take my hand of the arm rest and my eye’s off the road we will certainly go over the edge and fall to our deaths. I feel sick the whole way and David is chatting away at how nice the scenery is, but I wish he would just shut up and concentrate on the very skinny road we are travelling on.
We have a lovely afternoon and then home for tea and roasted chestnuts , which we all eat too many and pay for the next day.
