After months of planning...our 9mth journey of Latin America has finally started. Boom!
24hrs of travelling later...we arrived in hot, sunny downtown Santiago yesterday afternoon (with bags in tow, much to our surprise). After checking in to a downtown hotel for one final night of home comforts and making quick calls home, a wee siesta turned into 15hrs sleep straight and now fully rested and fed we're ready to take on Santiago in proper backpacking style.
Next stop Barrio Bellavista, Santiago's Bohemian enclave...
