Edit Blog Post

we woke up around 12, ate and showered and walked around... then we
went to the berlin wall which is sooo cooll and artsy and all that...
and then kendra called around 5 and we went to pick her up which was soo ridiculous!
and awesome to see her.. here in berlin hahahhaa
and then we went to eat at a place called the "white trash" which was our sidetrack times
a million and a trillion, it was like... 4 levels and sooo interesting the way it was all
put together and what not.... and they had live music, this guy named... paul james
from texas and he was soooOOooo good... and the food was rad too..
then my uncle and ulrike took off and me kendra and kat decided to stay at this place
because the paul james guy started again at 10.. and there was some other crazy band
coming to play later downstairs in like a cave.. haha it was very interesting.
and SOOOO we were just drinking beershh. and right next to us.. about
15 japanese cool people came and sat with four white guys and we were just staring at them
because they were like.. dressed all crazy and soo cool.. and after about 20 minutes one of
the guys came over to talk to us.
turns out... him and the three other white guys are promoters in berlin and had to take these
japanese band out and entertain them and anyway... he wanted us to go and party with them..
they were like.. you wont have to pay for ANYTHING! so they took care of at least 20 euro worth
of beer pitchers between the three of us.. and then gave us soo much more.... the band is called
kageruo.... and they showed us a small video of theres on their camera phones and they seem
like such a huge deal.. they got whatever they wanted whenever they wanted...
hahah and they had a translater that they hired to talk to us and what! it was insane..
so anyway they put us on the guest list for sunday and we are going to see their show and
hang out backstage and stuff.. and i guess it is a huge deal? but we cant tell because
we have never heard of them.. then they are off to paris and they said if we are there
around the same time we are welcome to go again and they will take care of everything!
hahaha also they gave us their "cards" the promoters and he said if we go to munich at all
and gave us places to go that everything would be taken care of under their names. hahahait was soooooooo ridiculous.. i still cant get over last night.. it was soo much fun..
so finally we ditched... and we downstairs and the band that was down there was soo rad.
it was like.. german meets yeah yeah yeahs.. meets... a cave.. i dont know..
then we ditched and found our way home on the autobaun... got donairs and went straight to bed
omg.....

Band
Well according to their web page www.kagerou.jp they really seem to be famous over there in Japan. They did play at the rock am Ring and Rock im Park festival here in germany last year. Wich are the two most importent music festivals here in germany. With over 50.000 spectators each. When you are in Berlin you have to see the Stasi (DDR secret service) prison. Located some kilometers away from the city centre at Normannenstrasse, i think. Former prisoners will lead you around. I think they also offer an english tour. Totally worth seeing and shocking, listening to former political prisoners and beeing tought about torture methods which they did use there. Courently at germany art house cimemas runs the film: Das leben der anderen. The press writes about this film: Its the best german film for at least the past 10 years. It deals just about that: The STASI. Worth watching but unfortionatly just in german. And not subtitled version available yet. habe fun while you are still in Berlin
