today heather's driver picked me up for the day. me and her met andrea and her two kids for lunch and then the flower show. it was a fantastic day!
at lunch i got to try octopus on a stick and seaweed wraps. i also got to enjoy my first beer since i have been here. we ate at a place that was inside a mall, while walking back from there i saw a random woman singing. there are a lot of random things people do here. then i got my first starbucks in china. the prices are about the same as the states, and they got my order right so i was happy.
then we crossed a very dangerous road to get to the flower show. drivers here really don't care if they hit you, so you have to sprint and it seems you have better luck in numbers crossing the road. the flower show was a lot of fun. the flowers were beautiful! i also got to ring a large bell, then the woman tried to rip me off... but heather stopped her! after that we kept walking around the sites and i found it hilarious that people kept taking pictures of andrea's kids. she should of really thought about charging the people!
after the flower show heather had her driver drop me off at my apartment. dad was in the middle of his chinese lessons with his teacher, so i went across the street to the tea house. i love the girls and owner there <3 i dropped off so tea for the owner to try earlier in the day. the owner made me steamed buns with vegetables in them. i ate very well there. the girls showed me their room, and we plan on having a beer sometime. all the females there always tell me how beautiful i am, which is nice. but i get freaked out when random males start telling me that. i don't know why. i just don't like it when men stare at me, especially when i can not understand them.
dad texted me while i was at the tea house, telling me to meet the driver downstairs for dinner. we ended up eatting at mcdonald's... i tried to make the best of it and decided to take photos in there. the manager made it very clear i could not take photos in there. it was very odd... but oh well.
tomorrow me and heather have an art class to go to. it should be an interesting experience. i am have the time of my life here :D
