Well it's certainly been an interesting week. For the most part I’ve pretty much just been hanging out with these guys and taking in the American culture. On Friday I went to the science museum which was pretty interesting, a lot of work has clearly gone into the place, and the view over the city of Boston was amazing. On Saturday I had my first American mall experience which was really a bit of an anticlimax, they're pretty much the same as Australian shopping centers except bigger.
SODA parties are parties that seniors of colleges (well at Babson college at least, I don't know about other colleges) throw in the last few weeks, each sweet (which is college accommodation) throws one so there's pretty much one every night. It was fun, and I met a lot of people. Except when someone set off the smoke alarm and we all had to trek outside and stand in the cold for 20 minutes.
Other than that I’ve really just been hanging out with people, seeing and going shopping in Boston (shopping so far has been a bit of a mission, I’ve been hunting for the bridge road/smith st. equivalents and it's been proving

Post cleaning. I know. This is why i spend all my time shoppig. Luckily, there's no smell.
difficult) and just generally experiencing crazy college culture.
I did manage to find an awesome shopping strip which is beautiful both aesthetically, with it's old school classic new England buildings, cobbled stoned paths and typical American feel with hotdog and t-shirt stands, and in the variety of cheap and interesting stores it offers. I bought some shoes. I'm in love with them.
The guys in the house never cease to amaze me with their antics, the most recent being a record breaking (literally) binge drinking session. Parents and grandparents relax, I was not involved, but a mere spectator.
I'm so over fast food that I braved the cold and grime and attempted to clean and (prepare yourselves) actually cook in the kitchen. The guys, so perplexed by such an act, actually went and got the couch from the lounge and put it in the kitchen to watch. Really, I have a photo.

These were actually left behind by the guys who owned the house before these guys but it's a fair effort either way.

You can't actually see the full extent of the kitchen, which is probably a good thing. Again, and this is the worst part, what you can see is post my (attempt at) cleaning it.

Hello =)
Hi Liz, sounds like you are having lots of fun =) Just so you know, there is a function to rotate the pictures. In the malls I went to they were designed so you had to walk through the department stores to get from one end of the mall to the other which I thought was clever. Have you already noticed we are around 20 yrs behind in Aus? Don't even bother trying to find organic food when u come home! Keep having fun, and keep up with the updates since I love to read them! Hi Liz, I love the guys, bringing a couch into the kitchen to watch you cleaning! I'm with them. Now, when you get back...
