Ok so the first day started wayyyy too early at 7:45am. I got up, went to the bathroom, saw a cochroach while I was on the toilet so I finished with my legs in the air and got out asap. Luckily a roommate went in and killed it. Then I ate a bowl of cereal and started the school day. It was a lot of listening to lectures and dry dull stuff, taking notes. We finally got out for our hour lunch break and I run across the street back to the house to pick up my wallet and make a quick trip to the bathroom. Caution: the next part is kind of gross. If you cant take it stop here!! Well in Greece (and other parts of the world I'm sure), they don't have that great of plumbing, so you can't flush anything down the toilet that doesn't come out of your body. They have a small trashcan by every toilet so you can throw away your toilet paper (which isn't that difficult to remember since its right there). Well I forgot today and as soon as that paper hit the water/pee, I knew I had really messed up. The owner of this house even told us that if we were to forget, we needed to reach in there and pick it out and then throw it away. Sooo, I did. I had to reach into my own pee to pull out that wad of toilet paper to throw away. Needless to say I had to practically take a shower in the sink 5 times to feel clean enough to go and eat lunch. Quick souvlaki lunch again, back to school observing teaching until 8 and here I am, eating rice and sausage with my pee hands. Happy Day 3!!!!
