I was re-reading through some of the previous entrys and realized there were alot of mispellings and mistakes in syntax or just poorly constructed sentences. My apologies, these mistakes are due to the speed with which I write this (without re-reading them) and the internet, which is slow and occasionally fails to save my entries correctly. I hope they make enough sense!

Now to Sunday. We went to Church Services at St. Matthew's in Monrovia this was Alberta's (one of the members of our group) home church. She was excited to see the kids she taught in Sunday School, and was astonished as they greeted her as grown adults. They gave us a warm welcome and blessing and we were encouraged to introduce ourselves in front of a HUGE congregation. Kim, Andrew, Tom and I also had the opportunity to visit the Sunday School Classes, which had mutliple levels and were filled with dozens of kids. They sang for us, but were otherwise bashful, smiling for pictures, but unwilling to ask too many questions. The mass itself was the longest Ive ever been to, it was over 4 hours long and was truly a whole day experience. We were exhausted and tired upon leaving. Moses explained that Church is much more of a weekly meeting of friends and family then it is at home and people just simply aren't as busy and so services run long. Today was National Liberian Youth Day, and so we also had a variety of activities associated with the event. (It was interesting to learn that they consider youth anyone under 30). When Moses left Liberia almost 20 years ago, the last church service he attended was Youth Day, so it was of particulary meaningful to him.

After Church we went to Reverend Gobah's beautiful home for a late lunch (mixed seafood, rice, fried chicken fresh papaya, pineapple, mango, and oranges) and in a few hours we will be headinig to another friend of group's house for dinner and to watch the World Cup. They've been treating us very well.

Tomorrow we will be visiting a local hospital (JFK Hospital, which was funded by the Kennedys) and the hiv/outreach program run by Reverend Gobah. Please shoot me an email if you have any particular questions about our stay!
