Hey all, currently sitting in the beach restaurant having a full cooked breakfast after getting up at 2.30 in the afternoon - this is the life! We went on the day trip on Wednesday, it was such an amazing day! Started off going to a really beautiful Chinese Buddhist temple and got told all about the history of koh phangan which was really interesting, and some of the scenery on the island is just incredible!! Also the guide really livened up the trio, he spoke such good English and even knew loads of jokes in English! After the temple we went off to the elephant sanctuary to feed and ride the elephants which was the most amazing experience, they're such interesting creatures! And riding on them was brilliant, at times when they were going up or down bios it really felt like we were gonnna fall off but forunately we didn't! Then we had a monkey show where they showed us how they've trained the monkeys to get the coconuts out of the trees, it was so cute! Then we went on a boat trip round some of the most beautiful beaches on the island and managed to go snorkelling on one of them, but cos we hadn't done it for so long it took us both a while to get used to it again! Then thr last stop on the trip was to see this 'amazing' waterfall, but as it was low season there was barely any water in it!!! Still a good thignto go and see though, we managed to paddle in it a bit which was nice to be able to cool off! And we met some really cool people on the trip, there was this old nz couple who were such a laugh and gave us loads of advice for travelling, where to go shopping in bangkok and stuff which should be really useful!
Then the past couple of days we've just had some really lazy days which has been nice to just be able to relax and recuperate, sampling the night life a bit which has been cool - we got back in at about 7 this morning! Oh, and last night one of the girls who's staying at this place with us had a thai boxing match - she's been training for the past month or so so it's not like she just jumped in and tried it!! But that was such an experience, and she won as well so all the English people in the place went a bit crazy!! Then we've got the full moon party tonight so need to rest up for that cos it'll probably be a very lat night/early morning! And we've booked all our taxis and ferrys and stuff for Monday to get back to Bangkok so we should get there alright - we'll try and do another blog from Bangkok airport so you know we got there ok! Hope everythings going ok in England and the weathers not too bad!!
