Hey everyone, thanks for all the messages. We're currently sitting inside the main wooden hut where the restaurant is as there is a tropical storm outside it's mental!! The past couple of days we've been getting up ridiculously late, it's been so nice for a change! Yesterday we went for a wander round town and just had a general lazing around day, had a look at some of the day trips you can do which all look pretty cool - there's one where you do snorkelling, elephant trekking, sightseeing and kayaking which all looks pretty cool, probably gonna try and book that later today, and it's only about 30 quid each which is pretty reasonable! Then today we went kayaking again in the morning (getting pretty good at it now!) and then went for a traditional Thai massage which was amazing, so relaxing having a massage on the beach in bright sunshine 😊 now we're just waiting for lunch and the weather has gone mental - literally it's gone from being completely calm and sunny to very windy, choppy seas and raining... Massage and storms!
Sounds fantastic - even the storms sound dramatic. I like the idea of elephant trekking - very jealous - and you'll both be ace at kayaking by the time you get to Halong Bay! Everyone here is fine but it's very quiet at home with Hannah doing long days with work experience as well as you being away. Take care. Loads of love xxx
