To my husband John - my deep appreciation for your unfailing love and support; for the text messages and emails of encouragement; for keeping the home fires burning; for tending to all the things back home so I could go to Haiti and serve. I know it wasn't easy to assume so much more than your share of responsibility, which you did without complaint. You provided a peace of mind about leaving that was so important for me. You have been and remain my very best friend. Be assured, you were as much a part of the mission to Haiti as I was.

To Larry Michael - my love and appreciation for all the help you gave to Grandpa while I was in Haiti. You helped him get through a tough time and I know it meant a lot to him to have you as a helper and 'sidekick'. You are a blessing to us both.

To my family, friends, and members of my church community - I can not adequately describe how much a part of the mission you served. Your prayer coverage was so strong, I felt it each and every day. It provided a sense of peace, strength, guidance and safety that carried and sustained me. I believe it gave me the freedom to be able to respond without concern for myself, enabling me to serve His purpose openly and deeply.

My appreciation to all of you who left notes and comments on the blog. Your thoughts and encouragements meant a great deal to me. Thank you for taking the time to let me know you were reading my journal and supporting me in so many ways.

A special note of appreciation to all who provided meals for John and Larry Michael and gave them care and support as well.

May God bless each and every one of you.
