This morning I slept until about 8 and then woke up and watched the World Cup game with Sarah from our beds.

Today was a lazy day. We stayed in our room for a long while. I finally got up at some point and took a mostly warm shower, then we head out to see how the craziness of the city was going.

Today was the "strike" we'd been hearing about for awhile. We had heard crowds and drums in the streets from our hotel as well so we knew something was happening. Since we've lived through all the craziness in Honduras this year, this seemed like nothing to us. It was more like a parade with people carrying banners and flags. We're not positive what they're protesting but there's lots of talk about gas.

Lucky for us, the museums were all still open so we were able to visit the ones on our "boleto turistico". Honestly, it was all kind of the same stuff we'd been seeing already and we were bored. We only went because we wanted to get our money's worth on our ticket. To any other travelers, the only cool things on that ticket

We met up with the boys for dinner and were so funny sitting and waiting in the park on a bench like school girls for our dates (who are actually with each other but that's beside the point!)
that we saw and would recommend was Pisac, and Ollantaytambo. The other ruins are tiny. Sacsayhuaman is okay, and we weren't able to visit Moray or Chinchero so maybe those are cool too?

After our museum visits, we bought an avocado sandwich from a lady on the street for about 33 cents each, and head back to our hotel. We spent a lazy afternoon watching TV, taking a 2 hour nap, and watching another World Cup game.

We're meeting up with our friends Dave and Robb in just over an hour for dinner.

I'm sure after dinner we'll head to bed and hope that tomorrow goes as planned and that we can find a taxi to take us to the airport so that we can fly over to Puerto Maldonado for some jungle adventures before heading to Lima for a couple days before heading back to Honduras.

Just a lazy, boring day in Cusco...

Pisco
Have you tried Pisco yet? That is my cat's namesake, of course I think Chilean Pisco is way better... you may hear about the controversy between Chile and Peru about where Pisco originated. It's fun debate
