Late start today as Kerry had to get his spare tire for the trailer replaced. He had to go to every tire place and gas station in town to find someone who could sell him the right tire. While Kerry searched for a new tire, Gena went into a small gift shop with a sod covered roof. The clerk told her that they had to mow it twice each week. Since we got a late start, we decided to drive to Glennallen and get a camp site for two nights. We went down to Wrangell/St Elias National Park Visitors Center in Copper Center. Really nice center! Great displays and exhibits. Gena & I watched the 22 min video on the park. It is a spectacular video with great sound - - very well done! We got back to the RV Park by about 4 PM. The ladies went to a laundromat to do laundry while Kerry and I replenished our electrolytes. The drive down from Tok was pretty (Pretty rough) with some decent views of the high mountains to the south. There were clouds so we only got to see the bottom 2/3 of the high mountains. There were 4 or
5 of them over 12K ft, the highest that we could have seen was 16K+. The only wild life we saw were a Moose cow and her calf, several swans swimming on ponds and a couple of eagles too quick for us to get pictures. Tomorrow we'll take the van and drive to Valdez and back. We're hoping for fewer clouds tomorrow, but the forcast is for more of the same. We'll make a stop at Worthington Glacier so Kerry can go over and touch it - - that will be fun.
