well we got our bags back thursday morning, jamie spotted them being wheeled out as we queued to speak to someone and we were soon happily reunited! the security at santiago airport is laughable, we managed to get airside twice in the quest for our bags merely by wavinga fairly unofficial peice of paper at the guy with all the guns and he just smiled and let us through! crazy!

interesting fact, all the pharmacies here have guards, also with guns, whose job seems to be just to open the door and look menacing!

anyway we went straight from the airpost on thursday and caught a bus across the andes and into argentina. the bus ride was amazing, we went through and under and over the mountains and are now in a city called mendoza in the valley.

mendoza is great, really chiled out and so so cheap! yesterday we went to the huge national park and wandered around the lake, then in the afternoon we checked out the street performers in the square near our hostel.

tomorrow we are going on a wine tasting tour, then getting an overnight bus back to chile and to the coast. more news soon! xx
