Makes me wish I was still in Helsinki.
:-/
I'm not knockin Tallinn, but it's just that I already miss Helsinki. I don't even know why; it was kind of a dead town. Maybe I miss it because Vesa was the one familiar face and now I won't have anyone until Germany. ohwell.
Oh, and this is pretty exciting. I have an exit stamp from Finland and it has a picture of a boat! Woo.
And, you can probably guess... I have an entry stamp from Estonia and it has a picture of a boat, too.
The first thing I noticed when I got onto the ferry to cross 'the gulf of Finland' was that the ferry was a rolling Las Vegas. Card/gambling machines everywhere. In the hallways, on the decks. And being that we were crossing international waters, the liquor and cigarettes were duty free.
Bore - ring.
I spent about two hours watching ice being crushed by the waves... It's very pretty, ice, waves, slushy stuff. Green and white. And as I was being lulled to sleep, some guy wakes me up to tell me to move it b/c he was setting up the tables for bingo.
Right now I am at an internet cafe, at a linux workstation with a disabled usb port. Darn it, why do they do this to me?!

"I'm the queen of the wooooorld!" at least it would have roused those people inside who were playing them slots.
