In Heathrow now, ready to start our trip. We’ve been staying with Gary’s grandparents since Sunday evening; Rico used to be kinda scared of Nana Pina but after living with her for nearly a week has decided that she’s a very sweet lady. She took great care of us feed us up until we couldn’t eat anymore. Also got to meet Gary’s 2 aunts that haven’t been over to Ireland recently. All very good and busy and kept our mind off where we were supposed to be…. On a final note for this getting this far I’d like to discourage anyone from every getting from Cork to London via a Stena Ferry from Rosslare to Fishguard.

It never dawned on me to ask you about that leg of the trip! I assumed you'd be sitting there vomiting into a bag, smiling cos you were on your way eventually
