Coromandel Region
A bay in Far North Coromandel Hi everyone just a quick update on what we have been up to, we have mainly been in coastal areas mainly on the east side of the North Island, the beaches and bays here are so stunningly beautiful and quite desolate at this time of year we spent a lot of time in the Coromandel Region, mainly because is is not very populated, unlike some parts of the North Island we planned this as Julie was due to go home but her flight was cancelled due to certain circumstances as you know????
We are now in The Bay Of Islands region which is 150 undeveloped island out in the sea a very beautiful peaceful place.we went to the bay where Captain Cook anchored in 1769 he must of been gobsmacked,We had a problem with our campervan and had to drive all the way back to Auckland which was a real pain in the bum.
We are going to head to the far north in the next few days, it is remote, more breathtaking coastline per square kilometre than anywhere but the offshore islands. We will see when we go, it is also quite depressed so we will have to be careful with our

Waikawau Beach at sunset belongings.
Today is awful weather so we are catching up with photos, travel blog etc, New Zealand is definately a very scenic and beautiful country the architecture and buildings are something to be desired as there is not any real history here.

Mick / Julie - Looks good. Glad you are enjoying NZ at last. Everybody I know (with the exception of one!) spoke very highly of their visits there, in particular the scenery. Sounds like it might have been worth Julie missing her flight! See you soon. Chris & crew.
