Next Stop - Paradise!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the 2010 edition of Teija and TJ's travel blog! It's been over a year since our Eurotrip ended, and we are excited to be embarking on our next big trip in only 5 days, this time to Australia and New Zealand!

We are flying with Air New Zealand from YVR to Sydney via Auckland (a very short stopover). From Sydney we will travel up the coast by Greyhound bus, stopping at Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, Brisbane, Noosa, Hervey Bay, Fraser Island, Town of 1770, Airlie Beach, Magnetic Island and Mission Beach (and probably a few others). We finish our coastal trek in Cairns, located in northern Queensland, where we will catch a plane to Auckland, New Zealand. The NZ portion of our trip is a bonus created from flight scheduling shuffles. Our original flight had us stopping over in Auckland for only two hours, but after our flight departing Cairns was delayed long enough to miss our connection in Auckland, we were able to extend our stay in NZ to 3 days/3 nights at no extra cost!

I'm looking forward to some hot tropical weather, amazing beaches, exotic animals and plants, and of course being on the road again!

We'll post as often as we can, so follow along with our trip!
