In Surin, Eastern Thailand, about to start working in a school. We are literally the only Westerners for miles and its like the circus has come to town. Children stare and point and old women want to touch my "milky"skin, and i thought i was getting a tan!
Can now make a mean Thai green curry and chicken phad thai. The fish oil mixed with curry paste is a bit hard to bare whilst cooking but if your eyes stop streming its actually a pleasant taste!
Experienced my first Thai train journey. We were in 1st class which means you get one ceiling fan and a good chance of an unbroken seat. Some of our fellow passengers were in serious need of a trip the dentist! No buffet car over here.
We stopped at a temple celebrating the chicken. There was a massive cock army protecting the temple which was a sight to see ;0)
Visted a Thai winery and did a bit of wine tasting. The rest of the afternoon is a bit hazy but im told we had a lot of fun!
Spent Valentines evening at a Ladyboy show. Also watched the Thai version
of Usher perform his songs whilst wearing a gun belt and gun! Off to get a Thai massage now, this is the life xxxx

Jealousy!
Hey Sis - so glad you're having such a cool time out there - photos look awesome. As I watch the rain stream down my office window, I just love the palm trees that are in the background of every photo. It just looks so lush and hot. You'll have to cook me an authentic phad thai when you get back, with extra 'prik pong' (dried chilli!). Can't imagine you cooking with fish oil at home! Do try not to steal any babies, however cute - just remember George is missing his Aunty Alice back in Bath.
