This weekend I attended the CIS recruitment fair in London. The hotel that it was being held at was located by the Marble Arch in Hyde Park, which is right next to Oxford Street. Since I was staying in central London I had some time on on Sunday and Monday and I was able to do a bit of sightseeing.

On Sunday I did lots of shopping on Oxford Street and found an awesome store called Primark - it was a HUGE store with really cool and cheap things! I think I must have spent at least 2 or 3 hours in there! For the rest of the evening I walked all along Oxford Street, which is the main shopping street in London.

On Monday I headed down Oxford Street towards Trafalgar Square and went to the National Gallery. The great thing about London is that all of their museums and galleries are free! I spent a couple of hours in the gallery and really enjoyed seeing some of the beautiful paintings they had - everything from Bruegel and da Vinci to Rembrant and Velázquez to Monet and Van Gogh.
After the National Gallery I made my way to St. Paul's Cathedral and looked around that area of the city. I had some lunch at the Gourmet Burger restaurant and then went across the Millenium Bridge and over the River Thames.
I then went to the famous Harrods Department Store and looked around there for a little bit and bought a really nice can of English breakfast tea.
After Harrods it was time for me to head back to the hotel and catch my train back to Brussels, so I took a nice walk through Hyde Park and went back to my hotel.
