Hi everyone we have just got back from 3 days in Halong Bay we had one night on a traditional junk which was fantastic, and then spent a night in a hotel on Cat Ba island, it was very relaxing here and we have eaten some lovely sea food, the scenery was fantastic Halong Bay is dubbed as one of the eight wonders of the world it consists of nearly 2000 islands, there are floating fishing villages on the water which people actually live on isolated life? there was lots of sea eagles scouring the waters for fish which was great to see. Cat Ba island was very relaxed compared to Hanoi, the harbour was lovely.
Tomorrow we head for Hue which is 400 miles from Hanoi our train juorney is going to take about 16 hours ouch the trains are so slow here we will update in a few days , so tonight is our last night in Hanoi (Mick) I have loved it here much more than I thought, I imagined coming here and suffering it just for the experience as I am not a city lover, but the people have been so nice and the food is great I have really really enjoyed it.
In touch soon bye for now love Mick and Julie
