25th January - the day of the great departure. The car packed to the hilt, the house stripped of everything that made it our home. Tiddler was strapped in his safety seat for the journey (thank you Suzie) with all the essentials for the first two weeks of our great adventure. It was hard to say goodbye to all our neighbours, some of which even want to keep in touch so we can’t be that bad, but the open road called and we set off in a state of great excitement.
When we were taken to our new home, we didn’t recognise it having not seen it for 3 months, and then it was in the NEC and not a field, happily it was even better than we remembered. Unpacking proved a challenge, so many storage places to lose things in. On our first night the temperature dropped to minus 2, on the second minus 4, happily we are warm and toasty in the van and the feeling of walking across a frosty field to have a shower was incredible, as was falling asleep looking at the moon through the sky light . I think we could get used to this.
To anyone trying to get in touch, keep trying. The site we are on at the moment is fantastic in every way, but has no signal so we are going for a drive to upload this, and go exploring of course!

ps ice in the aqua roll, stand pipes on site frozen, snow forecast, does life get any better!
