Again another early one with little sleep. Breakfast on the go again and onto the sub to catch the train to Bronx Zoo.

40 mins later we were there. There was no one there! Many of the attractions over here have little if any line. We have noticed that the weekends are busier though. We have had great weather so far- better than expected. Only really need a jumper and jacket. We have been alternating the beanies, scarfs and jackets on and off. Today was very much a all systems go day with everything we bought on! It was freezing. The zoo was good, a typical big zoo walking around looking at the animals. It was good to see a polar bear again which was actually awake and walking round. Disspaointing the big brown bear was asleep and the tiger. Only saw two gorillas of the 20 they are suppose to have. Went through the Madagassgar area. Again concious of time, we could have stayed longer but we had a date with Dodger Stadium.

So got back on the sub about 8 stops up also in Bronx. Ducked into maccas for a quick lunch as, as usual, we were pushed for time. Just as we left the rain set in and never stopped for the whole day. We went in for our Dodger stadium tour. They were all americans and a few were real die hard fans with all their NY clothes and hats on. One young girl seemed to know more than the tour guide. I asked lots of questions- they were probably stupid questions that I was suppose to know. It was good walking around looking at the babe ruth stuff and going into the dugout. This stadium holds 50,000 and is only a year old. Went into the NY Yankees chnage rooms which were massive- a big differnce to the Madiosn Square Gardens ones. The other people in the tour were so excited and im like which locker is the most famous guy and they are like come on!!! They play from April to november and play nearlly a game a day! They retire numbers to really good baseballers and have recognized that in a memorial area on the ground. They retired the first black american's number who played for the oppositon but was a big thing for baseball (again I asked why the number was a different colour and it was like what, you dont know! Ummmmmmm no!). So learnt lots on this tour and again Benn was pretty excited.

So we left in the rain back up to the sub. Caught it back to the Museum of Natural History which we started the other day and wanted to go back. Hit a hiccup on the sub with we required a chnageover and due to some roadworks or something they were not stopping at the one we needed. So after waiting we caught another train and had to walk 3 blocks in the rain to get to museum. Once there we went to the planet show which was in a big dome with the movie on like a projector on the roof- it looked pretty cool under the stars and stuff but we both nodded off as usual!!! After this we walked round all the animals again which were stuffed. It was so amazing to study them up close, they had every animal there you could think of! At the same time Im like this is so wrong to kill and stuff these animals but it was so cool to look at. Could have spent more time there again but again run out of time. It was good looking at the evolution of man and all the skeltons they have found and also the dinosaurs.

So then went to get back on sub but the downtown trains had been cancelled on this line! So again walked in the rain and unsucessfully did not hail down a cab as hard as we tried and walked back to the other station 3 blocks away. We dropped off at times square to get half price tickets to stomp but they didnt have a perfomnace on Sunday! Then back on the sub back home but we were not concentrating and missed our stop. Tried to get back on another train but got locked out and didnt wanna pay again so just walked the six blocks which was agin in the rain!! Found an umbrella on the side of the road which was already up. It wouldnt shut so thats why someone threw it out but hey it was enough for our 6 block walk before we threw it out again.

As we couldnt get Stomp tikctes and after little sleep and lots of long days we thought lets have a night in! So came back to hotel had a shower and ordered thai take away. Benn watched 'the big game' which I jumped on here updated the blogs and checked email etc. So its 10.30 now and Benns already asleep, hopefully I will be too by 11. Last two nights have been at 2am and previously 1am getting up at about 8am!

Tomorrow we are off on a NBC tour, TV and Movie meuseum and then a TV and movie 3 hour bus tour to the sites. Fatre that hopefully a cruise on the hudson river and then fingers crossed we get tickets to a late show at the NBC tour for tomorrow night!

you are certainly getting around, so you will be fitter when you get back. Great to see all the photos. I have been working in xray and the nursery. We had five babies so an extra nurse was needed. Monday was back to winter with heavy rain and hail. It will be 23 today Tuesday. Keep safe. Mum.
