Fi here. Gabe has given up. Yes, that's right. He's taken his soccer ball and he's gone home. No more writing from him. So it is up to me, his long-suffering wife to take up the mantle of the blog, wowing you with our wondrous journey and adventures. I apologise for the serious delay in updating the blog. We were busy.

Hamburg. Full of graffiti and Germans. Pretty cool frankly. It was the first place where we were able to wander the streets looking much like locals. No one was any the wiser – until we opened our mouths of course. We spent six days in the town, doing very little. Looked at some gardens, drank some beer, walked the streets. All very quiet. We did find that we were staying in the red light district, St Pauli's, which is apparently famous in Germany, and beyond. This meant that we shared our dorm room with vampires, who went out at night, and slept all day. This phenomenon continued on in Amsterdam as well. Hmm....

If you've ever been to Amsterdam, you'll know how gorgeous it is. Everyone knows about the canals and old houses. But did you know about the models who ride around on bicycles? Every other person on a bike looked like they had just come away from a photo shoot. I've never felt so scruffy in my travel clothes as I did in Amsterdam!

We were lucky enough to spend two days on a houseboat when we first arrived in Amsterdam. At night we could walk along the road where all the boats were docked and see people enjoying barbeques and parties. It was like something out of a book. Seriously made us want to move there. Just got to find a way to afford it now though!

OK, I have several entries to catch up on, so I'm going to be lazy and keep them short. Enjoy the photos.

Haha I had exactly the same feeling when in Amsterdam. So many beautiful people there!
