Wedding Celebrations
Driving through a small village on the outskirts of Jodhpur, in search of wild animals (antelope, gazelle etc ) we came across a village wedding just about to take place. This wasn’t unusual as this is the season for weddings and we see several everyday, most of which are very large scale productions - the groom on a white horse, trumpets and fanfare a, huge tents with flashing lights, hundreds of guests and many flowers etc. This however, seemed to be a very simple wedding with very few people involved, so our driver asked if we could take some photos. The family invited us to the ceremony held in their home. It was very lovely. We went back into Jodhpur and got prints of the photos for the bride and groom.
