So, on Friday, I went to this open market they have here called Feira de Sao Jaoquim. It's big with a section for fruits, weavings, meat, Candomble stuff, and random stuff. It stinks there. People (men) like to pee on the outsides of the porta-potties.. Gross. They have this "fair" every day in the morning until afternoon. It's in the lower city. It has a pretty bad stigma since it's supposed to be cheap and the poorer folks go there. But it's interesting.
On Saturday I went to the Parque Metropolitano de Pituacu, and it's really nice there, it's next to the beach that my family likes to go to. I saw my host dad grilling some stuff and he and his friends offered to get me and my friends some food. Anyway, as you will see, there is paddle-boats, and biking, and play structures. It's nice a park.
At night, I went to Jazz no MAM again. Live jazz for 2R$ with student ID. Really nice way to spend the evening.
Lastly, on Sunday, my family went to their friend's beach house to eat crab and this fish with potatoes meal. It's Praia do Flamengo, and I went to play in the warm sea water, then play in the little pool they had. Then my parents took me to see this lagoon park so I can take some pictures of it.
It was a satisfying weekend.
(On Sat, I was supposed to go to a costume party but it was cancelled due to plumbing problems, so I made this ghetto witch's hat on Friday night)
