Dunkin Donuts by our Hostel
3 stories, they can't get enough First we would like to say CONGRATS to Pete's mom, Georgianna, she retired Friday Oct 2nd from Nursing after many years of service. We wished we could have celebrated with you but Enjoy Retirement and we are thinking of you!!!!!
We started the morning with a "healthy" American breakfast Dunkin Donuts. Gotta love anything from the US when you live abroad and miss all the food from home even if we didn't eat it while living in the states. I have to admit living in Asia makes me eat the worst American food there is, cause that is the majority of what they have over here; McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King(South Korea only). This was another lost in translation or lack of translation. Pete ordered a coffee and couldn't make up his mind, the worker thought he ordered all 3 coffees and not just one along with his Bagel breakfast sandwich. I went for the donuts since I was crazy sweets.
We then ventured to buy a T Money card, which is the transit card in Seoul. You can also use it at stores to buy things instead of having cash on you. South Korea is
Dunkin Donuts
He must have been thirsty thought the worker, they gave him 3 coffees when Pete really just ordered one but couldn't decide which one also the most "connected" country in the world, meaning connected to the internet the most. Very technical savvy and advanced, while in Dunkin Donuts the worker scanned the screen of a customers cell phone for a coupon then we walked out with a free donut. Coupons on cell phones, Awesome!! We also found out they can pay for things with their cell phones and receive coupons while walking down the street from certain stores. WOW, look out America.
We then went on the city tour and had a great time over 8 plus hours. Check out the photos for the rest of our day.......
