Here is where I try to sell myself through my writing, so that you feel inspired to follow along on my adventures. For my family, and all of you who know I’m not so much a phone person, it’s the best way to keep in touch while I’m away. You can post comments and send me messages and stuff on the site too. How is that different from email? Well, to be honest, I'm not sure how many personal emails I will get to write during my stay in the Tanzanian Children’s Village. They have limited electricity, the only source of which are solar panels, and given that I arrive at the start of the rainy season, there may be a lot of cloudy days with no electricity. I’m imagining us all running around with headlamps after dark playing hide and seek, slipping and sliding through the mud....ooh, what fun! Anyway, I plan to write here as often as I can, and post pics, videos and stuff pertaining to my trip. I’m not exactly sure what the content will be yet, aside from my daily adventures, but I plan to keep it interesting enough for you to keep coming back for more. Oh, and I should add that I've been practicing my animal face painting skills on Brooks, Ismay and their little friends...I've perfected my tigers and butterflies! I'll be sure to post pics of all the kids with their faces painted for our Halloween Parade! Stay tuned!

i can't WAIT for your updates!!! i don't care if you just write "the weather is nice"... it doesn't need to be what you might consider interesting, cause anything you'll send us from over there will be! and if you don't manage to post much, well, we'll know you're having an eye opening, incredibly beautiful time. or just no electricity :) this is your trip, make the most out of it, discover amy's heart and soul while in africa, away from it all, in a totally different culture with unusual influences and values!!! i miss you already, even though i'm writing this as you're right in front of me, having good-bye drinks and shisha with me, ana and leah, talking about where we'll be at thanksgiving when you'll be back..... i'll definitely visit you on your next africa trip. will miss you tons, and i know you'll have the trip of your life!! i'm so happy for you! bea
