Manuel Antonio is a national park on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Our first day here the park was closed so we spent the day in our hammocks reading on the beach and swimming in the pool at our hostel.
The next day we went to the park with our new Dutch friends, hiked though the forest and saw tons of wildlife. A group of 20 squirrel monkeys followed us around for a bit, every few minutes we'd see sloths in the trees, howler monkeys howled above us, white-faced monkeys darted in front across our path, raccoons tried to steal our lunch, sea turtles swam just off the beach, caymen guarded the ponds, tree frogs lined the leaves of the paths, red crabs scurried out of our way, deer just stood there and didn't even care if you walked right up to them, and lizards were everywhere and every colour!

It was soo amazing, I've never seen so many animals, very friendly and only the raccoons tried to steal things from you. We spent the afternoon on the beach with the animals and our friends and had an amazing lunch of avocado, cheese and tortillas.

Hey I think your lucky you saw all those animals at the park! Me and Eric stayed in Quepos for three weeks last December and we didn't get to see half the things you saw.....I don't know why they were hiding from me! Except for the jellyfish - I was the one and only person on the whole beach who got stung all up my foot and leg! Why couldn't the cute animals come out and play? Sounds like you having a great time! Stay safe and have fun!
