Eagle Bluffs
Start of the climb Hi everyone
So I arrived in Vancouver over a week ago and have had glorious weather for the whole time. This meant that I could get out hiking and cycling and take full advantage of the beautiful scenery around Vancouver.
I've been staying with Prem (a Uni friend who is now living in Vancouver) and so have had my own personal tour guide!
On friday we had a leisurely day walking along the sea wall to Granville island where we checked out the market and craft shops. The next day we went for a hike to Eagle Bluffs - after a faily steep initial climb the trail went through the woods and then opened out onto Eagles Bluffs where we had amazing views over Vancouver. On Sunday we went into downtown Vancouver and visited Gastown where there was a chilli and blues festival going on. In the evening we went to Stanley park and saw The Arctic Monkeys playing.
During the last week we cycled into Vancouver, around Stanley park and onto Spanish banks beach and did a few more hikes (Norvan falls, Buntzen lake and around Lynn Canyon park). We also travelled to the Okanagen Valley,
Eagle Bluffs
Cabin Lake on the way to Eagle Bluffs the wine region in British Columbia (yes they do produce wine in Canada!), were we visited a few wineries and sampled their wares (not bad)!
That's it for now - I'm off to San Francisco tomorrow.
