Took the morning bus (Konsortium SVIP) from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur Puduraya Station (s$30, was actually pretty centrally located). Although I wasn't too impressed by the city, I did get to enjoy what there was to offer.

I went to the Batu Caves in the evening but the monkeys had all gone home for the day, leaving worshippers and a few roosters. There are a few shrines ppl can make a donation to and go up to/give an offering or pray to. Getting up to the caves was a daughting task, 271 steps I believe, from the top looking down, you don't wanna miss a step of you'll end up at the bottom, with a few bruises as well.

I also ventured out to a few other places, KL Tower (38rm) which I don't believe was worth the cost, Petronas Towers Skybridge (luckily someone I met earlier was in line so I got to go up within 30 mins of my arrival!! rather than the 2+ hour wait), Masjid Negara (the National Mosque) where I go to learn a lot about their mosque which is a bit differently shaped than others, and KLCC which is a huge shopping center with all your shopping desires catered to.

Of course I ate, Pisang Muratabak, which is banana pancake with curry as well as Nasi Lemak Ayam (chicken and rice served with an egg) and Teh Tarik (tea and condensed milk). An interesting thing was the drinks, I had a pink flavored bag of juice (Rose flavored drink) which filled about three glasses, they also had it in corn flavor. I also tried Cendol which was interesting as it has shaved ice, coconut milk, corn, red beans, tapioce and jelly. Noodles, roasted chicken breast with rice, and of course satay were also in the menu for me.

Map!
It's still not to late. Why don't you google a map of where you are and where you are headed next. Make it easy for me. Post some pictures of the locals going about their daily routine. You didn't take a picture of the train or other passengers. Get some locals to take a picture of you. Just don't give camera to someone who is going to run off with it. May be a cop or someone who looks trustworthy. How do people really know you were there if you are not in the picture!!
