Me yawning by the Mekhong River
We arrived in Luang Prabang yesterday after a (very!)slowboat ride taking around 7 hours from Pak Beng. After getting a hostel sorted we headed to a LaosIndian restaurant for some food by the river. Probably the best food i've had on the trip so far- i just got Chicken Tikka Massala but it was in a different sauce to back home and was just what the doctor ordered after the long bus ride. We ended up in a bar that was showing the Chelsea Barcelona game, all be it a day late and we already knew the score. Found out Liverpool got beat anorl-Ahhh!

First impressions of Luang Prabang look promising, most backpackers in Laos pass through here and it seems so chilled out, the hostel shuts its doors at midnight though- so there shouldn't be a repeat of the late nights Chiang Mai style!

Woke up today (24th) with the intention of a busy day, ticking offf the temples as we passed them. However despite an early start we just had a lazy day (Its so easy to do here because as David Brent would say it's got a "laid back, chilled out type of vibe). Me and

You didn't say you were in Luang Prabang Dave?! Banter
Jonny ended up in this well cool place above a bookstore that was decked out with cushions all over the floor and really well lit (Looked like a bit of a Hippies Haven) Had some lemon tea there, we bumped into the Dutch girls again aswell- it's not hard to do because this place isn't that big and you do tend to see a lot of familiar faces from the boat ride.

All in all Luang Prabang looks promising, the fact we just chilled out all day didn't feel like we wasted the day, it seems that lazing about is what a lot of people do here, and if your gonna laze about this is a good place to do it. Hope your all working hard and looking forward to the weekend, take care, Mike
