Well, this morning was an adventure. I set out to drive to work on my own. I was armed with some info as to when to leave (about 7:15 in order to miss traffic), a GPS unit, and my tea. Unfortunately, the GPS wasn't working as expected. It would not pick up my location in Reading. I thought that I would be okay since I had studied the map on Google. Boy, was I wrong!

I got out of Reading okay (although, I did have to remind myself as I exited my flat's parking lot "Left side! Left side!"). I even managed the highway without a problem. It was when I got off the highway to head into Bracknell that the problems started! I finally realized that I didn't know the proper turn off from the road I was on. I ended up making several U-turns and even stopped in a petrol station to ask for directions. After that, I was able to finally make it to the office. It only took me an hour! But I didn't hit anyone or knock any mirrors off the car (for those at PS - talk to Mikey Mo). :-)

Here's hoping that tonight and tomorrow morning are better!

You are my niece
Rebekah, I hate to tell you but not plugging that GPS into the outlet is something that your Aunt Debby would have done. I would have been just as abashed as you. As you say, we live and learn. Buddy and Lori moved into their new house yesterday. I was there to help along with Uncle Wes and Carolyn and Aaron. Jennifer is over there helping Lori unpack boxes today and Lori's mom is due too. I will take Nana over this afternoon and try not to get involved with unpacking. Nana and Carolyn St. Pe and I packed most of Lori's kitchen last Saturday and I hope I never see another dish as long as I live. LOL. The house is gorgeous. They tore out the kitchen except for the gas stove and have all new cabinets, floor, new granite counters, etc. They have all new light fixtures, newly refinished hardwoods, and all new paint. I think everything looks really nice. Glad you are in England and having a good time. I look forward to seeing what you are doing through your blog. Love, Aunt Debby
