Quito and Cotopaxi, Ecuador

Hi all...beeen difficult to spend time at computer since coming here....but we are lovin it!! So from here on in, the posts are likely to be far and few between and very basic in content!!

Quito - capital of ecuador

• tarn and steve suffer a bit of altitude sickness - at 2800 metres - tingly fingers and feet, exhaustted and cant stop peeing!
  
• stayed 2 nights....lovely hostel, food up on roof terrce lovely view of quito....5 flights up and we were out of breath!
  

Cotopaxi


* Up in the mountains about 2 hours south of Quito
* Spent 2 glorious nights here....amazing place with nothing else around but a mountain, farmlands, a bull training ring, very cute hostel dogs
* now at 3500 metres and still suffering altitute sickness so chose not to try and climb Cotopaxi which is around 5600 metres! Took our pills though and rested, walked to a beautiful waterfall up the river with hostel mates and chilled on hammocks so that helped heaps!
* no electricity so we were greeted by a roaring fire and romantic candle light each night... lovely!
* skanky felt bit better than tarn so allowed himself a glass of wine....4 days of no alcohol since leaving kevie in madrid!
